New Year's Resolution

I haven't been on this blog lately which means my last update was in December.  I think because I don't have many people following my blog I haven't felt obligated to update it regularly.  I have to get in the habit of doing this on a regular basis.  I even have the capability to post to the blog from an application on my phone.  So I have NO excuses!  I have the time, right?  I spend time on the computer (mostly looking up nonsense or looking on facebook), so I should have the time to make a quick post.  My new years resolution is to make more of an effort to update the blog (oh and hopefully to have more people to follow it so I know I am doing it for a reason)!

Photos of Kids

A couple of weeks ago I had a friend, Sarah, take photos of the kids.  Sarah has her own photography business and I was always so impressed with her photos.  Sarah took the kids and I to downtown Florence which provided great backgrounds for the photos.  A couple of days ago Sarah gave me a CD with over 250 photos!!!  The photos were outstanding!  I loved them all!

Then the painful part came of picking out just a few of the pics to add to a Christmas card.  I didn't have much time to decide as I had to get the cards ordered so hopefully they would arrive to family and friends before Christmas.  I did eventually come up with a few of my favorites and had cards printed.  Now I just have to get the cards addressed and sent off in the mail!

I wanted to share some of the photos with everyone so take a look at the album I will be attaching to the blog!

By the way, you will notice in the photos that I am in some but there isn't any with John.  John ended up going out of town the week we had the photos taken but I decided to jump in just a few.

Kids Photos (December 2009)

Can't Wait

My friend Sarah from work (also the kid's school) took photos of the kids last week.  Sarah did post a couple of photos on facebook to give me a sneak peek.  I don't know about that, it is more like torture!  The two photos posted were fabulous!  I can't wait to see the rest of them!  Thanks, Sarah, you were awesome to work with!  I know it is going to be very difficult to decide which photo will be used for Christmas cards this year!  Maybe I will use the photocards that allow you to use several photos per card.

Speaking of Christmas cards, I need to decide where and what style card I am going to use.  This is a painful decision for me.  This is similar to what I go through when looking for a new background for this blog.  I  want the "perfect" look and I end up wasting sooooo much time looking and looking for the perfect card, design, etc.

Why am I like that?  Where did this obsession to have the "perfect" everything come from?  Mmmm....let's think about that one.  It is too late to start analyzing myself tonight :)

Here I Go

Okay, here I go.  All someone has to do is mention that they created their own blog and how much fun they have, and it is a matter of a few hours and I start one!  Just another thing for me to do that will prevent me from cleaning or doing laundry or any of my motherly duties.
